Information processed
HomeUnderstood stores account and household details, Home Vision preferences, saved homes, reactions, messages, renovation plans, purchase-workspace information and documents you upload. Research and credit records support saved results and household access. Usage logs include research status, timing, token usage, estimated cost and product events.
Why we use it
We use this information to provide research, planning and collaboration, maintain access controls, process credit purchases, investigate failures and respond to support requests. Support staff can inspect relevant account, purchase, credit and failure records through authorized tools.
Providers and AI processing
HomeUnderstood uses managed providers for account, database and file services. OpenAI processes submitted research inputs and supported document contents to produce AI-assisted results. Stripe processes payments; full payment-card details are entered into Stripe’s hosted form, not HomeUnderstood’s own inputs. Relevant information is sent to these providers when needed for the service. Provider identities, retention, international transfers and contractual protections must be confirmed and disclosed before this policy becomes effective.
Household and agent sharing
Household members can access shared household work. Agents gain permitted access only after explicit buyer acceptance; pending invitations provide no access. Agents can access only explicitly shared document files. Previously downloaded files and unexpired issued links may remain usable after sharing changes.
Storage, retention and your choices
Sign-in storage keeps your session available. HomeUnderstood retains saved work and operational records; specific retention periods, deletion/export procedures and any legally required records policy remain pending owner review. Do not assume account deletion instantly removes every provider copy or backup. Request help or ask about your information through Customer Support.
